The University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UT Knoxville or UTK), stands as a distinguished public land-grant research institution located in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States. With a rich history dating back to its founding in 1794, just two years before Tennessee achieved statehood as the 16th state, UT Knoxville has evolved into the flagship campus of the University of Tennessee system. Eligibility Criteria for University of Tennessee, Knoxville UTK Global Ambassador Scholarship
This competitive scholarship will be awarded to incoming first-year overseas students (non-resident visa holders who will not graduate from a US high school) who apply for admission during their senior year of high school and have a minimum 3.0 GPA*. The autumn semester that follows your high school graduation is when you have to matriculate. The recipients of this award will be able to volunteer and serve as global ambassadors for UT, with events coordinated by UT’s international recruitment. A second application for the Global Ambassador Scholarship along with an invitation will be sent to all qualified candidates who satisfy the GPA criteria. After May 1, 2024, applications will not be accepted for this award.
To maintain your Global Ambassador Scholarship, you must:
- Keep up a strong academic status and a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA).
- Continue to be enrolled full-time each semester.
- Assume the role of UT Global Ambassador and follow the guidelines of the program.
- Set a good example of volunteerism and act as a helpful resource for incoming international students.
