UBC served as the official host university for the Harvard World Model UN Conference (WorldMUN 2012 Vancouver) in March 2012. This was not just the largest student conference ever organized by UBC or on Canadian territory but was also the largest Model UN conference ever organized by students anywhere in the globe. From 270 universities in more than 60 countries, there were 2,200 student representatives and over 200 academic mentors. Over 500 student volunteers from throughout the UBC campus and the surrounding student community were gathered by the organizing committee to carry out the week-long event.

The financing program offers scholarships at the University of British Columbia in Canada for between $20,000 and $48,000 to help deserving students begin their first year of study. Students from any country may enroll in the program for the academic year 2023.

Eligibility Criteria for TUTOR-PHC Graduate International Scholarships
Applicants are advised to meet the following conditions to be eligible for the TUTOR-PHC Graduate International Scholarships at the University of British Columbia:
- Eligible Nationalities: All countries
- Eligible Courses or Subjects: The institution offers master’s and doctoral degree programs in a variety of fields, including medicine, nursing, psychology, epidemiology, social work, education, and many more.
- Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must still have their prior Certificates of Degree to be accepted into the program.
