The institution hosts an impressive array of 100 research centers and 17 cooperative research centers, showcasing its commitment to advancing knowledge across diverse domains.

In the fiscal year 2019, Monash University demonstrated its financial prowess, with a total revenue surpassing $2.72 billion (AUD), including external research income amounting to approximately $462 million. The university’s dedication to fostering a dynamic academic community is evident in its enrollment figures, with over 55,000 undergraduate and 25,000 graduate students in 2019.

One notable initiative supporting the university’s commitment to research excellence is the Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarships, sponsored by the Australian Government. These scholarships are designed to aid both domestic and international students pursuing Research Doctorate and Research Masters degrees. As part of this comprehensive program, the RTP Stipend, serving as a living allowance, plays a crucial role in supporting students with their living costs while engaged in their studies at Monash.

Crucially, the RTP Stipend is an integral component of the broader support package tailored for Indigenous Australian students. Monash University underscores its commitment to inclusivity and diversity through initiatives like the Monash Indigenous Research Scholarships, ensuring that all students, regardless of background, have access to the resources and support needed to thrive in their academic pursuits.
