About Istituto Europeo di Design and Scholarship
Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) stands as an esteemed institution offering students the opportunity to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree. Successful completion of the three-year course culminates in the attainment of the ‘Diploma Accademico di primo Livello’ (Academic Diploma, First Level), a credential that holds legal recognition from the MIUR (Ministry of Education, University and Research) under the category of High Artistic Training (Ministerial Decree 10 December 2010 n. 292).
IED extends its educational offerings to Spain, providing a spectrum of academic programs including Bachelor of Arts with Honours, Masters, Postgraduates, Continuing Study Programs, Summer Courses, and Executive Programs in disciplines such as Product Design, Fashion Design, Interior Design, and Graphic Design. Graduates of the four-year course in Spain are awarded a Bachelor of Arts with Honours degree. In Brazil, IED introduces the Diploma Universitário, attainable after completing a three-year course in Fashion, Design, and Visual Arts. Meanwhile, in China, the institute presents the Bachelor of Arts with Honours in fields such as Fashion, Visual Arts, Industrial Design, and Project Management.
Within the vibrant academic landscape of Rome, IED courses manifest a unique emphasis on cinema, television, and new media, with renowned educators such as Lara Aragno, Viviana Gravano, Giulio Mazzarini, Emiliano Cappai, Michela Bonafoni, Bonizza Giordani, and other notable figures contributing to the educational experience.
IED maintains a presence in Milan through two distinct campuses: IED Moda and IED Design, strategically located in different areas of the city. Furthermore, IED Turin, operational since 1989, is situated in the heart of the city, offering over 2500 square meters of schoolrooms, labs, and an expansive internal garden spanning 500 square meters. This campus accommodates a diverse student body, comprising both Italian and international students, providing a conducive environment for creative exploration and academic excellence.
In a bid to empower aspiring creatives and foster academic excellence, IED, in collaboration with Accademia Aldo Galli and Kunsthal Centro Superior de Diseño SL, presents the International Master’s Programs and Master of Arts Scholarships Competition. This initiative offers 57 scholarships for the 2024/25 academic year, covering 50% of tuition fees. The scholarships aim to support talented individuals in their pursuit of master’s programs and master of Arts Courses in Italy and Spain, reflecting IED’s commitment to nurturing creative talent and providing transformative educational opportunities.

Benefits:
Scholarship candidates who are selected will be reimbursed for half of the cost of tuition for Master of Arts and Master’s programs in 2024–2025. Aspiring people have a great chance to work with prominent academic institutions and business partners to improve their professional identities and skill sets through this project.
Note: Residents of Spain may apply for courses offered in Italy, while students living in Italy may apply for scholarships to attend courses in Spain. Applications for courses in Italy and Spain are welcome from foreign students residing in other countries.
Eligibility Criteria for Istituto Europeo di Design International Master’s Programs and Master of Arts Scholarships Competition
Candidates are advised to meet the following conditions to be eligible for the Istituto Europeo di Design International Master’s Programs and Master of Arts Scholarships Competition:
- All international students are welcome to apply.
- Acceptable Subjects: Master of Arts and Master of Science Programs
- Acceptable Requirements: Applicants must fulfill the following requirements to be accepted: Hold a three-year degree, an equivalent Diploma, or have gained at least two years of work experience in the chosen Master’s Program.

- After deciding on a course to enroll in, fill out the registration form.
- Please submit the necessary paperwork and the project according to the guidelines found in the rule.
