About Imperial College London and Scholarship
Imperial College London, officially recognized as the Imperial College of Science, Technology, and Medicine, stands as a preeminent public research university in the heart of London, England. Its distinguished history can be traced back to the visionary Prince Albert, consort of Queen Victoria, whose cultural vision encompassed iconic landmarks such as the Royal Albert Hall, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum, and several royal colleges.
In a transformative move in 1907, Imperial College London was established by royal charter, amalgamating the Royal College of Science, the Royal School of Mines, and the City and Guilds of London Institute. The Imperial College School of Medicine was integrated in 1988, and Queen Elizabeth II presided over the establishment of the Imperial College Business School in 2004 as the next step in the evolution.
One of the main characteristics of Imperial College London is its steadfast emphasis on research, engineering, medicine, and business. The majority of teaching and research activities are centered on the main campus, which is situated in the charming South Kensington.
