The Allison Taylor Single Mum Scholarship is designed to provide comprehensive support, acknowledging the diverse needs of single mothers pursuing higher education. The scholarship covers a period of up to 2.5 years, based on a full-time study load of 100 credits per semester. During this time, recipients of the scholarship can focus on their academic pursuits with the assurance of financial support.

Allison Taylor Single Mum Scholarship – Eligibility Criteria
Applicants are advised to meet the following requirements to be eligible for the Allison Taylor Single Mum Scholarship at Curtin University:
- New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident, Australian citizen, Australian permanent humanitarian, or overseas student
- Single Mum
- Enrolled in Curtin University’s undergraduate program full-time (100 credits) or part-time (50 credits)
- Possess a course-weighted average (CWA) of at least 65.
- They must be raising dependents while pursuing their degree.
Application Procedure for Allison Taylor Single Mum Scholarship
Step 1: Access the application form

- The institution advises you to apply for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship Program here if you are an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student and would like to be considered for all other scholarships (merit and equity) available in this round. Step 2: Complete
- Fill out the online application.
- The application form is saveable at any stage of the procedure.
- Applying for more than one scholarship at once is possible.
- On the scholarships website, on the “Applying for scholarships” page, are instructions on how to finish your application.
Step 3: Submit
- The deadline is indicated at the top of the website and in the OASIS Scholarships Channel.
- Incomplete applications won’t be evaluated
- The application’s status will change to submitted after it is submitted.
Step 4: Receipt
- Following submission of the application, the student’s email will receive an application receipt.
Step 5: Assessment
- Applications will be considered by an assessment panel using the following standards:
- Responses to questions in the application form
- Academic merit
- Passion for course
- Minimum CWA of 65
- Socio-economic status
- Precedence will be given to mature-age scholars if there is a tie
Step 6: Outcome
- Within six to eight weeks of the scholarship deadline, all qualified and disqualified applicants will receive notifications via the Scholarships Channel (Student OASIS) regarding their status.
Step 7: Acceptance
- The terms and conditions must be accepted by the deadline via the Scholarship Channel (Student OASIS) for successful applicants.
Note: Scholarships will only be given out if there are enough deserving applicants.
